With the Rugby World Cup in full flow, we thought it apt to have a look at the way rugby has influenced fashion.

The days where rugby was synonymous with a broken nose and a muddy rugger shirt are a thing of the past. Today, rugby style is more about clothes that are on the preppy side of casual, meaning they are essentially classic but accessible. The three-piece suits worn by the England team and designed by official suppliers, Eden Park, are the perfect example of how rugby’s signature style has evolved.

Although the navy pinstripe suits are not available to purchase, they give us an insight into the type of classically simple garments that personify rugby’s new take on fashion.
